Meet Our Team

Mona Das, founder of Canary Revolution, is a former Washington State Senator with a passion for social justice and systemic change. Her legislative career saw nearly 30 bills passed, championing environmental justice and equity. With a BA in Psychology, an MBA in Sustainable Business, and a strong fundraising network, Mona combines business acumen with public service. She created the award-winning documentary, "Bad Ass Women Doing Kick Ass Shit," that interviews 8 BIPOC women candidates running for office in 2022

Karna Cristina

Karna Cristina, a Native Alaskan from Petersburg, brings her deep community roots and passion for service to the Canary Revolution board. A committed realtor and PTSA volunteer, she actively supports local families through her work with the Petersburg Food Bank. Karna's dedication to community well-being aligns with Canary Revolution’s mission to empower marginalized voices and foster inclusive leadership.

Steven Taylor

Steven Taylor brings a multicultural perspective to Canary Revolution’s board, shaped by his Jamaican-Danish heritage and upbringing in Canada. Now a Milton, WA resident, he is committed to addressing systemic inequities and advocating for marginalized communities. With experience in community organizing and leadership, Steven’s global and local insights align with the organization’s mission to foster inclusive, equitable change.

Megan Sheridan

Megan Sheridan is a passionate advocate for social justice and community-based solutions. A former elected official in Maple Valley, WA, Megan focuses on addressing systemic inequalities and empowering marginalized communities. As a mother of a young Black man, her work is deeply personal, driving her commitment to bridging social divides. Megan’s leadership at Canary Revolution supports transformative change and equity.
